From Le Grau-du-Roi, you can explore La Grande Motte and the Étang du Ponant. You will sail along the Vidourle to its imposing metal locks. These were constructed to safeguard the canal and the town of Aigues-Mortes from flooding. This area is known as 'Les Vidourlades'. As you continue your cruise, you will see marinas, the town of Aigues-Mortes and its port, the Salins du Midi salt marshes, and the lakes where flamingos live. The cruise ends at the Manade Jullian. In the heart of the estate, you can observe bulls and horses in their natural habitat, which is a nature reserve and a 'Grand Site de France' with magnificent views of Aigues-Mortes and the Salins du Midi. Our guide will then explain our traditions to you. Afterwards, you will return to Grau-du-Roi and its fishing port via the Pont du Levant. A local guide will accompany the cruise.
